Perfectly Preppy....Fall Sweaters

Fall in love with perfectly preppy fall sweaters; they are more fun than ever. With colors, textures, and patterns what’s more a prep to ask for?
Guess what?! The oversized sweater is back again. This chunky, laid back sweater is a go to for almost anything; its versatile, great for a body type, and of course super comfy. Many of these oversized sweaters can be dressed up for down – depending on the occasion. Matching them with a textured pant or a pencil skirt is a great way to wear to work, class or on a date. While matching the sweater with leggings or jeans is a great way to go to lunch with friends, the library or even a late night movie. Make sure you are choosing close hugging bottoms, the sweater is a statement enough and without a closer fit on the bottom you may be left with a sloppy look!
The Peter Pan collars have been a huge trend this fall! This can polish off any look and give it the chic schoolgirl edge. Louis Vuitton introduced this trend once again and other big names – such as Valli, DKNY, and Marc Jacobs – have adopted the look as well. Some Peter Pan collars have been seen from skirts to sweaters to dresses. These collars have replaced the statement necklace for the fall: some are bedazzled with jewels, others are simply contrasting colors – but either way this is a must to have in your closet for this fall.
Color continues to come back this fall. These bright colors are a great way to make any outfit pop – color blocking and bright patterns are perfect for any occasion day or night! Matching these pops of color with neutrals is a great way to update your wardrobe by just adding a few new pieces. The bold sweaters are perfect transitional pieces and can be that perfect splash of color your apparel is looking for!
Patterns and polka dots are always fun to play with and do not seem to be going anywhere. These patterns will be sticking around from season to season and are great for any closet that needs some more fun pieces. Also, never forget classic argyle sweater to pull any look together!
